About NEET
NEET is a national level examination conducted by NTA. The candidates who want to get admissions in medical courses must qualify from the entrance test. The questions of NEET only come from the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany. There are 180 questions from each subject sections that carry 720 marks. The question paper of  NEET are intermediate level based therefore revising 11th and 12th standard Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany books that are following CBSE Syllabus is a must. NEET Biology is considered a high scoring subject by the medical aspirants. According to NEET Biology 2019 analysis, the biology section was of moderate difficulty level with most of the questions based on the NCERT syllabus. EXAM PATTERN
The NEET (UG) 2020 will consist of a total of 180 Multiple Choice Questions with four options and single correct answer and will be of 720 marks. In Biology section, 90 questions will be asked from Class XI & XII NCERT Syllabus. For each correct answer, candidate will get four marks and for each wrong answer, one mark will be deducted from the total score.

Focus on topics with high weightage
With NEET 2020 approaching fast, you should focus on preparing for topics with high weightage as these can help you score more marks. Additionally, it will help save time for revision and strengthen your preparation for most important chapters.

Read & re-read NCERT
Revise your NCERT textbooks at least 3-4 times before the exam. Pay attention to each and every line of the NCERT textbook. Solve all the NCERT questions as well as examples thoroughly.

Conceptual & application based learning
To ace NEET Biology, conceptual clarity is a must. While revising your chapters, pay attention to understanding the concepts first and how to apply those concepts to problems. Moreover, deep understanding of the topic can help you master it with ease.

Clear Your Basics
The clear concept on every subject is the key to success for any exam. You should read the theory behind every concept and have your basics clear for each topic.

Make Notes

There is no stressing the importance of revision enough to boost your exam preparation. It will improve your chances of clearing the NEET exam. Aim to finish your syllabus at least a month ahead of the exam and then revise every topic as many times as you can.


KEY POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND
  1. Prepare from NCERT textbooks thoroughly as most of the questions are based on it.
  2. Solve all the questions of NCERT Exemplar. Exemplar is especially developed keeping competitive exams in mind and has been a source of surprising questions. 
  3. Practise questions from NEET previous years questions papers is quite helpful in understanding the variation and difficulty level of questions.
  4. Solve Previous Years’ Question Papers to understand the exam pattern, difficulty level, types of questions asked. It will not only help evaluate your preparation level but also aid in quick revision of the entire syllabus.
  5. Improve your speed and accuracy, attempt at least one Mock Test daily.
  6. For an optimum performance in NEET Chemistry section, set aside 40-50 minutes irrespective of the difficulty level of the NEET question paper.
  7. Refer to your YB Study Material to give your preparation an edge.

Few last tips :
  1. Lay a time table : After looking at the syllabus it will not be an onerous task to understand that you have a huge syllabus to be covered in very less time. But lesser time doesn’t mean the target is not achievable. It can be attained by proper planning which involves first to set a time table for yourself as per your convenience.
  2. Before making an everyday plan first focus on monthly plan i.e. which all units must be covered in which month
  3. Make sure you take up important topics first. And as soon as a topic is complete, revise it instantly.
  4. For a daily plan: minimum 5-6 hours should be kept aside every day for studying along with an extra hour for revision.
  5. At the end of the day revise whatever you have studied throughout the day
  6. Depending on what type of person you are you can divide the day accordingly. For morning people it is best to learn the subject in the morning and practice and revise in the evening. Whereas for evening person, another way round can be done
  7. Do not forget to keep space in the plan for practicing questions every day
  8. Once in a week, you can take up some test of the topics you have studied like YB study offers.
  9. Following the layout of the time table, you should start studying. Whenever you sit down to study, make it a habit to make short notes side by side. This helps in a lot of ways. First, it will help in making the learning and memorizing process quicker as writing things down makes our mind to remember things more.
  10. As more and more questions you practice, more likely are the chances to clear the exam. Practicing questions is the most important factor that can help.
  11. Revision at every step is a must. Every day at the end of the day, every time you complete a unit and every week, month and so on. Before the exam, the complete syllabus must be revised twice at minimum.
