1. CSIR UGC NET JRF and LS :
Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship helds in twice in a year June and December. CSIR will conduct the UGC NET exam for subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology. The exam will be conducted for Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences,

The award of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/placement in a university/ national laboratory/ institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.

In case of Lectureship, CSIR UGC NET is only an eligibility criterion and means that a candidate must qualify the exam in order to be appointed as a lecturer.



2. ICMR JRF entrance Examination
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) will conduct national level Entrance exam in July for selecting candidates to award 150 Junior Research Fellowships. Online registration for the exam was begun for candidates with MSc/ MA (minimum 55% marks; 50% for the SC/ST and differently abled candidates). The upper age limit to apply is 28 yearswhich is relaxable (up to five years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/ VH/female candidates and three years for OBC candidates).

120 fellowships will be awarded in the field of biomedical sciences and rest thirty will be in the field social sciences which includes psychology, sociology, home science, statistics, anthropology, social work, public health/ health economics.

ICMR JRF exam will be Conduct at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Srinagar (J&K) and Varanasi.



3. JNU CEEB Entrance Exam :
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi has started the online application process for the Combined Entrance Examination for the admission to Biotechnology Programmes (CEEB ).

JNU CEEB is conducted for admissions to MSc Agri Biotechnology, M.Sc. Biotechnology (General Biotecnology, Industrial, Environmental, Marine, Medical Biotechnology, Neuroscience, Molecular & Human Genetics and Bioresource's Biotechnology) and M.Tech. Biotechnology courses in the university.


4. AIIMS entrance examination :
The AIIMS entrance examination is a gateway to the most prestigious medical college in the country. Apart from the main centre in New Delhi which was established in 1956, there are six other colleges at various cities across India. Each year All India Institute of Medical Sciences invites application for admissions in M.Sc. Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Biophysics Reproductive Biology and Clinical Embryology and Nuclear Medicine Technology Courses. 5. IIT JAM:
The Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) is being conducted to provide admissions to full-time MSc (Two Years), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, MSc- MTech, and other Post-Bachelor's Degree Programmes at different IITs and Integrated PhD Programmes at IISc for consolidating science as a career option for bright students. collaboration with eight zones: IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.

6. TIFR JGEEBILS : Joint Graduate Entrance Exam :
The TIFR national level entrance exam for biology, TIFR Exam is also known as Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS )

The Graduate Programme at TIFR is given following Subjects : Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer & Systems Sciences (including Communications and Applied Probability) and Science Education.



7. DBT JRF Entrance Exam :
Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) program was initiated in 2004 to provide fellowships for biotech students pursuing research in universities and / or research institutions in the country. Students are selected through online Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET). 275 fellowships can be awarded every year.
